As a volunteer organization, the Kansas Wing of the Civil Air Patrol relies heavily on member dues and charitable donations to help support initiatives that are not fully funded by the Air Force, such as cadet special activities, aerospace education field trips, and member training opportunities.

Our mission aircrews cover the cost of their training flight time and our members are responsible for purchasing their own uniforms and equipment (cadets receive a voucher to help with their initial uniform costs).

Direct donations help offset the cost of equipment, utility bills, mission supplies, uniforms, and cadet activities. Our members are generous not just with their time, but with their money: a majority of contributed money that helped us serve our community came directly from our own members.

That doesn't include the indirect contributions, like search and rescue aircrews paying for their own training flight time or parents buying their cadets' ground team equipment. When you contribute funds to our cause, you're joining a team of generous and committed volunteers.
