CADET LOCK-IN!!!! 13-14 March 2015

New Century Composite Squadron with the help from Kansas Wing and others will be presenting an Emergency Services and Rocketry Lock in. Click HERE to let us know you are coming. Anyone with extra rocket kits can bring them. Senior members are welcome to attend any of the training as long as they have CPPT. Anyone attending must be current on Safety. Safety will be confirmed. Anyone not current will be taking online Safety immediately.


  • Arrival Instructions: Registration open 1600-1800 hours

  • Uniform of the Day: BDU’s (see packing list)

  • When: 1600 hours 13 March 2105 through 1700 hours 14 March 2015

  • Where: Lenexa Christian Center, 17500 87th Street Parkway, Lenexa, KS 66219

  • Fee: No fee

  • Food: Friday night snack, Saturday breakfast and lunch ALL PROVIDED

  • Lodging: Bring sleeping bag and cot or pad (sleeping quarters are separate by gender)

  • Other info: Listed below is the schedule for events for the lock in Lenexa, Kansas. New Century will sponsor meals for breakfast and lunch on Saturday, 14 March 2015. There may be snacks on Friday. Bring your own dinner. Anyone with food allergies or needing a special diet contact me ahead of the lock in.

  • Cadets in the Kansas City metro area do not have to stay the night. However, in non-emergencies, I MUST be contacted by your parent or guardian prior to the lock in that you will be leaving. Cadets will remain at Lenexa Christian Center unless they have prior arrangements made with me. Contact me by phone at 785-317-1298, or email david.furnas@kswg.cap.gov

  • Review the equipment list needed for this event. This is going to be a fun and learning experience for us all. Please contact me with any questions or comments you may have.


Packing List:

*Flashlight/headlamp.

*Reflective vest. Limited number provided.

*Sleeping bag and sleeping pad or cot.

*Hydration system-canteen, Nalgene bottle, Camelbak.

*PT gear- shorts, sweat pants, t-shirt (KSWG or squadron if possible), tennis shoes.

*BDU uniform and black boots. Field jacket.

*Personal Care Kit.

*CAP ID card.

*101 Card.

*CAPFs 160, 161 to keep with you at all times.

*CAPF 32

*Less than $5 for beverage vending machine. $.50 items.
